Overall Objective
The overall objective of the project is to address specific global and trans-regional threats to peace, international security and stability, through enhancing governance and cooperation on CBRN risk prevention, detection and mitigation.
Purpose
The purpose of the project is to:
- Establishment/ improvement of policy, guidelines and protocols on the biosafety and biosecurity management of any respective threats which might occur on state borders as well as customs clearance zones. Elaboration of methodology and standard operating procedure on front-line bio-safety and bio-security threats management as a guidance for SEEE partner countries.
- Elaboration of curricula of the Train-of-Trainers course and National Training course on front line bio-safety and bio-security threats management. Conducting practical trainings and exercises (national, trans-boundary, regional) on Front Line Biosafety and Biosecurity threats management.
- Provision of national training courses on front line bio-safety and bio-security threats management in each of the SEEE partner countries;
- Foster the establishment of national and regional Front Line Biosafety and Biosecurity experts and agencies networking.
- Sharing of good practices of Front Line Biosafety and Biosecurity management based on relevant EU institution’s experience.
- Assessment/ testing of horizontal inter-agency cooperation on Front Line Biosafety and Biosecurity Management through national exercises. Compilation of the lists of special training equipment to conduct front line national bio-safety and bio-security threats management training for each of SEEE partner countries; Assessment/testing of regional, sub-regional and cross border cooperation on Front Line Biosafety and Biosecurity threats management through regional, sub-regional and cross-border field and table-top exercises.
